Hi! I’m “Hoo-SHEEN,” a Registered Massage Therapist helping those with head pain, body pain, and brain fog feel like themselves again.

With a background as a Registered Pharmacist, I’ve been behind the curtain to the far-from-perfect options in conventional medicine for chronic pain and other “unexplained” conditions.

If you’re battling with symptoms that won’t go away — especially when you’re told there’s no clear explanation — typical “spa-style” relaxation massages can be wonderful for pampering, but they often fall short of making daily life feel like less of a struggle.

My approach is built for those who yearn to see how much better both the ‘special days’ and the ‘everyday’ can feel, focusing around the things in life that matter to YOU.

I guide my patients through bespoke massage therapy treatment programs to:

  • STOP painful episodes

  • have MORE TIME between episodes

  • have LESS PAIN during episodes

…without medications, needles, or injections.

Member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP)

“I don’t want to lose entire days of my life anymore.”

“The most important thing is being able to rely on myself to be present for my kids.”

“Everything at work depends on me showing up and doing my best, but I can’t do that when I feel like this.”

“I want to go on vacation, but I'm scared how I’ll feel the whole time.”

“I don’t want to become that person who has all kinds of problems when I’m older and end up being a burden on my family.”

“I just want to feel normal.”

Headache & Migraine

and Brain Fog Massage Therapy Treatment Program

Step 1: New Patient Welcome Treatment

Welcome!

We are a private massage therapy practice offering bespoke treatments to an exclusive number of patients and their family members. Prospective patients who want access to concierge care that knows you WELL are invited to experience a New Patient Welcome Treatment.

A New Patient Welcome Treatment starts with a detailed discussion about your pain experience, health history, and treatment goals that would be meaningful to YOU. We then dive in and do a personalized treatment on a high priority area according to your specific symptoms.

You’ll remain fully clothed for this massage therapy work, so please arrive wearing a loose t-shirt, loose sweatpants, and socks.

If there’s a good mutual fit to continue working together, we can discuss possible next steps.

You May Be Wondering…

  • How long are appointments & what should I wear?

Appointments are about 70 minutes. Please arrive just a few minutes prior to your time to help us prevent crowding in our clinic space.

Please arrive wearing a LOOSE T-SHIRT, LOOSE SWEATPANTS, and SOCKS — you'll need to take off your shoes upon entering the treatment room. Please do not wear denim, thick or delicate fabrics, jewelry, or anything you wouldn’t want compressed or stretched.

Please also bring a new / clean face mask to wear. Due to the close physical nature of our work, this helps with non-contagious coughing, sniffling, or sneezing (e.g., allergies, chronic coughs). However, if you're sick, you MUST cancel and reschedule accordingly (cancellation policy below still applies).

  • What makes these treatments different?

Instead of kneading the muscles like dough only to relax them temporarily, I stimulate the right areas in the right ways to train your nervous system — the thing that makes you feel pain — to turn down its hypersensitivity switch long-term.

I only work with patients in a way where conditions are set up optimally for their success, emphasizing consistency and commitment in our collaboration.

Think of it this way: it’s the difference between wanting to get into the best shape of your life and choosing to work alongside a dedicated personal trainer — with your dream body in mind and a personalized workout plan in tow — versus relying on sporadic motivation to workout only when you feel like it (we all know how that usually turns out).

  • What do the treatments feel like?

For the vast majority of cases, you'll enjoy the comfort of remaining fully clothed and without the use of oils on your skin.

When applying the nervous system techniques, we do purposeful work directly on and around the painful areas, which might feel therapeutically intense. While the aim is to work at the higher end of your tolerability, I'll maintain open communication with you throughout to make any necessary adjustments.

Whenever we shift our focus to the lymphatic system, you can expect gentler pressures, with an exception for abdominal work that may require slightly deeper techniques.

Movement and stretching may also be incorporated where suitable.

  • What can I expect after a treatment?

Because we do deep, purposeful work to build the nervous system's resilience, you might feel a bit sore around the treatment areas for a few days. If your nervous system is very sensitive to start with, you could experience some temporary aggravation of new or existing symptoms for about a week.

This is your body’s way of reacting to being stimulated in a new way. It's like when you start exercising intensely for the first time or after a long break – your muscles feel super sore for a few days, but as you keep working out regularly, this exaggerated type of response decreases.

After any initial discomfort passes, you'll start to notice the positive changes to come.

  • Can you guarantee the exact results I want?

Just like your doctor can't guarantee that you’ll respond predictably to a new medication when they prescribe it, our path toward your desired results may be influenced by several factors.

These include things like how severe your pain is, how long you've had it, what may have caused it in the first place, your medical / surgical / injury history, what your goals are, your commitment to your treatments, the degree of exposure to triggers, and even unexpected life events.

The best way to see how much better we can get you feeling is to get started.

  • Do you provide insurance receipts?

Yes, receipts from completed treatments can be submitted to your benefits provider under Registered Massage Therapy.

Please keep in mind that managing plan-specific details -- such as confirming coverage for treatments, any doctor's note requirements, benefit-year / per-treatment reimbursement maximums, and submitting claims -- is solely the patient’s responsibility.

At the end of each appointment, we'll conveniently charge the treatment fee to the credit card on file, and promptly email you the insurance receipt in PDF format.

NB -- Insurance does NOT cover cancellation fees, gift card purchases, or gift card redemptions.

Policies & Procedures

By booking an appointment, you agree to the following policies & procedures:

1) New Patient Administrative Procedures

If this is your FIRST visit to my practice, you will receive an online Health History Form via email once you book the appointment for your New Patient Welcome Treatment. Completing this form is essential to secure your appointment, and it must be done promptly upon receipt (failure to complete it in a timely manner may result in appointment cancellation). For existing patients, you will be prompted to update this form annually prior to an upcoming appointment.

Before EACH appointment, you will receive COVID-19 Screening Questions via email for your review. If you do not meet the negative screening criteria or have any concerns about feeling unwell, you must cancel your appointment immediately and reschedule accordingly. Please note that our 24-hour cancellation policy applies in ALL situations, including unexpected illness and emergencies (you can find the full Cancellation and Missed / Late Appointment Policy below).

2) COVID-19 and Cold & Flu Precautions (2025)

Dear Patients,

As I return to practice part-time during my maternity leave, I thank you for your understanding of the following:

Due to the close physical nature of our work, I will continue to enforce masking requirements to prioritize health and safety. I kindly ask that all patients bring and wear a new / clean mask while in the treatment room, and I will do the same.

Your cooperation is appreciated!

Huixin Feng, RMT

———

Our treatment room remains a low-traffic, private treatment space.

Please take a moment to review the COVID-19 Screening Questions sent to your email prior to each appointment, as your appointment can only proceed if you screen negative upon arrival. If you have any doubts, you must cancel your appointment immediately and reschedule accordingly. Please note that our 24-hour cancellation policy applies in ALL situations, including unexpected illness and emergencies.

Upon entering the treatment room, please remove your shoes and utilize the provided hand sanitizer. It is mandatory to bring and wear a new / clean, well-fitting mask that covers your nose, mouth, and chin throughout the appointment; no exceptions can be made. Masks with exhalation valves or vents are not permitted.

Please only attend your appointment if you would pass the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment at https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment.

3) Cancellation & Missed / Late Appointment Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation / rescheduling or missed appointment leaves a hole in the therapist’s day that, with adequate notice, could have been filled by another patient, especially those on the wait list. As such, we require 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Please be advised that appointments booked less than 24 hours prior to their start times automatically fall within this late cancellation period.

If a patient is unable to provide the minimum 24-hour cancellation notice or misses their appointment for ANY reason (including unexpected illness and emergencies), a cancellation fee that is equal to the full treatment fee will be charged to the credit card on file, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Any reason is a good enough reason to cancel if you need to, and the fee is not a punishment for the patient but a necessity to protect the therapist’s time. Please consider booking an appointment like purchasing a ticket to an event, flight, or accommodation, where one is responsible to any costs if they are unable to attend. If in doubt, please reschedule ahead of time.

Please note that cancellation fees are typically not eligible for insurance reimbursement. As well, arriving late to your appointment will not result in additional time added or fees being reduced.

Thank you for respecting your therapist’s time!

4) Immediate Patient Discharge Policy

No form of harassment or abuse will be tolerated.

In such an event, the appointment will end immediately and your credit card will be charged a cancellation fee that is equal to the full treatment fee, no exceptions. Please be advised that cancellation fees are typically not eligible for insurance reimbursement. You will be discharged as a patient with a detailed note in your health record. No further appointments will be accepted and serious incidents will be reported to the police.
